
Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) was the third and final service pack for Windows XP, superseding Service Pack 2. It was released to manufacturing on April 21, 2008, and to the public via the Microsoft Download Center and Windows Update on May 6, 2008. It began being pushed out to users who selected Automatic Updates on July 10, 2008.

Among some of the features and enhancements included in Service Pack 3 were security fixes, improvements to WPA2 security, and over 1,000 bug fixes. It also contains all previously released XP updates and requires 1.5 GB of free space.[1]
