The Starfield screen saver
Starfield (originally known as "Starfield Simulation") is a screen saver included with some versions of Microsoft Windows. It was first introduced in Windows 3.1 and comes with every subsequent version of Microsoft Windows up to Windows XP. The screen saver's file name is "ssstars.scr".
Description[]
Starfield features a plethora of white dots (representing "stars") appearing from the center of a black screen, then moving outward. The dots get larger as they move toward the screen's edge, making it look like the screen is traveling through outer space.
Settings[]
The speed at which the stars warp can be changed, ranging from Slow to Fast. The default setting is placed in the center.
The number of stars can be changed, ranging from 10 to 200. The default number of stars is 25.
The screen saver's title bar has a Help button, which explains the function of each setting.
