Microsoft Authenticator is an app developed by Microsoft for two-factor authentication of a user's identity while logging into a Microsoft Account. It was first introduced as Azure Authenticator for mobile devices in June 2015.[1]

As of December 2022, the minimum system requirements are:
- Android 8.0 and later
- iOS 15 or later[2]
- watchOS (no longer supported as of January 2023)[3]
- Windows 10 Mobile 14393.0 or later
