Alan Wake is an action-adventure video game developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox 360 in May 2010 and for Microsoft Windows in February 2012.
The game was remastered in October 2021 for the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and released for the first time on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. A sequel, Alan Wake 2, was released in October 2023.
Gameplay[]
The story follows thriller novelist and titular character Alan Wake as he tries to uncover the mystery behind his wife's disappearance during a vacation in the small fictional town of Bright Falls, Washington – all while experiencing events from the plot in his latest novel, which he does not remember writing, coming to life.
Remastered version[]
A remastered version of the game was released on October 5, 2021 for Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, and for the first time on PlayStation 4 and 5.
