Gameplay[]
The Conquerors Expansion also introduced new features and enhancements in the video game, such as the Defend Merchandise, Hill King, and Wonder Race. The additional maps that were included, based on truly geographic regions, include two new soil structures, namely winter and tropical. The winter terrain has the characteristic to show the footprints left by units on the snow. The tropical terrain represents more precisely the Jungle of Central America and has been thought of as a theater of battles involving Maya and Aztecs; For example in the place of sheep and wolves is populated with turkeys and jaguars.
During the game infantry and walking archers are able to enter and guard the ram; In this case they even increase the attack power and the speed of the siege weapon. While ships are able to hold some types of formations, as it was already possible to do with the ground units. Citizens automatically go to work after building a resource collection point (for example, after having built a carpentry, looking for the nearest trees themselves, introducing a production queue to automatically regenerate the farms).
In general there are a number of minor improvements in the interface, especially in order to expand the scope of macromanagement; Features that will become standard in subsequent games such as Empire Earth and Age of Mythology.
