Back in July 2017, they tried to do this with mspaint but that failed. Sad to see this go though.

I personally am bewildered that Microsoft opted to kill off the *newer* of their two image editing apps. I remember when they wanted to remove Paint in the Creators Update, but ended up not doing so because of backlash… they probably should have just branded Paint 3D as a new version of MS Paint, like they did with Sticky Notes. The unique name misled everyone to thinking it was just another frivolous 3D gimmick.

I like Paint 3D better.

How about we try to find a way to get all of Paint 3D'S data so we can upload it to archive.org or something like that?

Tbh, I have never used Paint 3D that much so it does not make a huge difference for me. But there are people out there who use Paint 3D all the time and it will make a huge difference for them.
