Hello! Microsoft Wiki contributors, now it is an important time ever to read this to keep notice.
Update on the wiki: [Bulletin 1] (Posted on March 9, 2021) (Edited on March 17, 2021)
Upcoming update (1/3)
You may have been seeing some quiet activity behind the scenes quite lately, and we would like to say that we'll be revamping this wiki soon since 2012. That means, we'll have to close the wiki. But, editors are eventually is going to continue editing once more again we'll leave half of the wiki open while working on this new update, like basically experiment it on a different wiki and once, that we're finished we'll update the site, by then you should be able experience the new website within 72 hours max (depending on where you are in the world). Please note, that while this is happening not all features might work and will lead to a glitchy or buggy experience to all users. So, we don't recommend you editing massive articles during the time of work, which leads us right into the next paragraph about the article cleanups.
Article cleanups (2/3)
As, this wiki starts to reach 16 years old it's a good time to start cleaning up articles and updating articles. That means removing huge "false" information as quite late-recently we've discovered MANY of the articles had their information changed but not by "officially" claimed evidence or proof like (date of launch.. and etc) so, we will be performing a month of cleanups and reverting such misleading edits. However, we'll try to preserve updated information that were submitted by the community in the process. Like, we stated at the end of the first paragraph don't edit massive articles during the working periods because, it'll most likely get reverted unnoticeably so, please allow us some time to re-add in your "updated" information. This is done, as this wiki's goal is to be more of like Wikipedia but Microsoft's version of it as we want accurate information.
New policies (3/3)
Newer policies will be announced soon, and we'll soon be updating our rules/polices book requiring new users to read the rules/policies before editing. As, rules and policies haven't been updated between 2010-2016.
To all current contributors, have a great one and see you soon with these update!
To conclude, none of these will take effect as of current. So, you can edit normally. However, to know when will these will take effect on the dates wait for bulletin 2 as it'll be posted soon.
If you have any concerns for the future work or questions about this, please ask we're not starting work yet, so this would be a great time to ask so. This is a very good time, for your suggestions on future updates for the next bulletins.
